Stevie

"One day my momma told me, 'You know you're gonna have a little friend come stay with you.' And I said, 'Who is it?' and 'For how long?' That's when Stevie moved in with his crybaby self."

Stevie was that litte boy who came to stay each week while his mother worked. Do you think you would like having a smaller boy come stay at your house and play with your toys? Well, the boy who tells the story in this book didn't like it either.

We don't know exactly where this story takes place, but it could be in this building on the corner of 95th Street and Lexington Avenue in Manhattan.

ifyougoIf you go to the Upper East Side on Manhattan, you should definitely to to the Museum of the City of New York on Fifth Avenue. Link to website. There are usually things there of interest to small children as well as to people of all ages. And there is a cafe as well.
